As we explain in a leaflet included in the packaging (see Appendix), a new RED-DA (Radio Equipment Directive) requires connected devices to have more secure passwords. For this reason, on newly supplied Theta Z1 units, the default password is no longer the serial number, and you will need to press a few buttons to retrieve the password. You can then change the password as you wish.

If no password is displayed after pressing the buttons, this is the older model, where the serial number is the password; the connection issue may therefore be related to a different problem.
